Typography as a framework for collaboration

An understanding of the process of collaboration was furthered through an investigation in lightwriting and its typographical possibilities.

Carried out as the opening project in a graduate symposium, this study provided a collaborative framework on which a group of participants created messages by visually articulating typographic form. They were asked to complete the phrase:

“The best way to shape the future is to…”
